The thirty-third year of Guntramn’s reign. On 28 March of this year the king died. He was buried in the church of Saint Marcel in the monastery that he himself built. Childebert succeeded him. In this year Wintrio, duke of Champagne, invaded in force the kingdom of Chlotar; but the king and his warriors went to meet him and they put him to flight. Both sides suffered great losses.
